Over the years there have
been a handful of cartoons and other animated productions based on video
games. In 1982 Hanna-Barbera Productions created a short lived cartoon
based on the most popular game of the day, Pac-Man. Of course Pac-Man
was huge at the time, a true merchandising juggernaut of the early 1980's.
If people think video game merchandising is big today, it's nothing compared
to the over saturation of a world infected with Pac-Man fever - there was
Pac-Man EVERYTHING at one time. Christmas Comes to Pac-Land was the
episode of the series created as a Christmas special, originally airing
on December 16th, 1982. This particular cel was obtained for less
than $20 (including shipping) off eBay. Why such a low price?
It was incorrectly being auctioned as a cel from an M&M's candy commercial.
